NFL Playoffs: Can Luck Go into Arrowhead and Get Lucky Against Mahomes?

With 8 inches of snow in Kansas City and the league’s top offense with Mahomes, Tyreek Hill, and Travis Kelce, how can this team still be picked by some to lose? Mahomes is the 2nd player with 50 TD and 5,000 yards in a season, the other one was Peyton. Tyreek and Kelce are the first pair of teammates with at least 1,300 yards and at least 10+ TD. However, since they had to release Kareem Hunt, this offense hasn’t been the same. In a game with snow and weather, running the football is crucial and the Colts can run the ball and the Chiefs struggle to stop the run. Andy Reid needs to elevate his playoff resume, hopefully, Mahomes can help. There is no doubt he’s a hall of fame coach, but his playoff success has been questioned, rightfully so.

Not only the weather but how will Mahomes handle the nerves of his first ever playoff appearance with a bullseye on his back? Heading into the playoffs as the number 1 seed, coming off a bye, and it’s his first ever playoff game? Things didn’t work out for Lamar Jackson or Deshaun Watson in their first playoff games so how can Andy Reid get Mahomes ready? By continuing to play his game against this physical and mentally tough Colts defense. The Colts will head into Arrowhead and take down the Chiefs and will come down to the wire. I don’t see the Chiefs being able to move the ball through the air in these conditions and the running game won’t be able to hold up vs. this Colts defense.
